While most days this September have been between five and ten degrees above the seasonal average, the last few days, whilst sunny as ever, have been tempered both by bracing breezes from across the broads and colder winds from up North.

Which means that Autumn is on the up; while that's no bad thing, it'll soon be time to cherish those cosy memories of summer warmth.

Here, a fishing boat rests during the afternoon on Playa Burriana, Nerja, Southern Spain.

Lovely, and yes, very summery. Back to your old narrow focus tricks I see. Welcome back :)

I'm a big fan of the cracked paint. The textures are very visually appealing.

Alastair this one is beautiful. What great colors, not overly saturated. I especially like the way the figures are not too blurred out on the right, and the interesting poses they happened to have been striking.

Its rather cold outide now and for a brief moment this pic seems from another planet but then the memories come back....
Once more on this bog we have a feast of colours, nothing oversaturated or overprocessed but the real thing with the balance and subtelty of a realy good painting. great!
