Oh i saw that on the news when it flowered! This looks a lot smaller going by the leaves and I didn;t realize they came with such striking stems. For some reason it looks familiar to something i've seen in uk gardens but i can't think what? Beautiful colors though, i love the green hues and red contrast, and the focus is sharp enough to bring out the slightly sparkly lines in the stem. Very good!

Thank you all for your comments! Jen, you might be thinking of Japanese Knotweed (
Polygonum japonicum), an invasive species that crops up all over the place; it's a real problem in certain areas, but to its credit it does have beautiful stems.
