Gorgeous as always, Macro Boy. That lovely intersection of a very tight focal range with the detail in subject seems to be one of your specialities :)

Beautiful closeup of a peacock feather. I love the iridescent colors and the texture.

gorgeous, as always, but with a little 'fingernails down the blackboard' frisson to it. being enormously european, my bones tell me that peacock feathers are unlucky, whilst having a penchant for all things eastern I should really see them as being highly auspicious. oh me oh me...

Thanks, guys, I appreciate the kind words. As it happens, I gave away all twelve of the ones I salvaged while at work today - it would have been easy enough to post them on to interested people, but it just didn't occur to me before; sorry. Besides, they come with a fair amount of superstition attached; this didn't bother me overly, but my loved ones were gently vocal enough to put me off keeping them for the sake of my own sanity! Fun to capture though, and there are many more shots where this came from, though I'll keep them to myself for the sake of variety!

Super vivid. You can keep the feathers. Just keep bringing shots like this.
